The author of this book was my school mother in junior secondary school and she was gracious enough to give me the copy I own for free.
Let me tell you a few things I remember about my bunky (bunk mate), she was very smart in school and I'm sure she still is, talk about a Pharmacist, author and business woman. She was very homely and I learned a lot from her. She was 3 years ahead of me but she didn't make me feel like a junior student, she was so nice to me even on holidays I couldn't wait to be back to school.
When I found out she wrote a book, I was not surprised at all, I knew she liked to read and write, I remember that every morning she would read her devotional and write some notes in a book she kept beside her pillow every morning, even mornings that she had to use a torch. I also remember that she wrote a story that included pictures she drew by hand and it was really interesting.
Now about the book, although she tells the stories of her childhood and even adult years, the lessons to be learned are enormous for both parents and children. The stories are so vivid and well described that I could really relate to, I also remember some stories she tells as reading it was not the first time I had heard them.
Parenting through the eyes of a child is an easy read, you could probably finish it in one seating, as soon as I was done I wanted to start all over again. Tabitha highlights lessons learned after each chapter and those lessons give you a summary of the chapter.

From the back of the book:
If your child was to judge your parenting, what grade would you receive?
In this memoir, the author looks back at her childhood growing up in Bukuru in the north-central part of of Nigeria- and she gives her parents high marks.
In sharing memories of her childhood, she reveals how her parents raised her, served as role models, took every opportunity to teach, disciplined her and much more. The stories she shares range from funny to serious and will keep you turning the pages. There is something for everyone in this book; parents and children.
